Judith(Judy) White Obituary

Judith L. White, 84, of Sayre, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2024, at
her home after an extended illness with her loving sons by her side. She was born
to Patrick and Inez Farrell on Nov 2, 1939.

Judy was educated in the Sayre School system where she enjoyed sports and her friends in
her younger years.

Judy was a dedicated employee of the RPH/Guthrie Human Resources Department for over
40yrs. After retiring at 72 and a lifelong dream trip to Ireland, she settled back into working
2 jobs. Unfortunately, COVID forced her out of the workforce at the ripe young age of 80.
Hard work came natural for mom, and always said and made sure “if you do a job do it
right!” Mom’s work family knew it was Judy’s way or it was Judy’s way! Judy was a lifelong
member of the Epiphany Church and had a deep faith that guided her through the good and
bad times.

Mom’s passion was family. When her family was younger, the Lincoln St. house and pool
were filled with all the kid’s friends. Everyone was welcome at mom’s house, and everyone
knew they wouldn’t leave hungry. She adored her grandchildren. Whether Sayre, Virginia,
California or New Hampshire she made sure to visit often and made every special occasion
she could. She was affectionally known as “Grammy,” and forged everlasting relationships
with each one of them through love, empathy, and a little bragging here and there. Actually,
it was often commented by the friends of the grandchildren that everyone wished they had a
Grammy Judy!

Mom’s other passions were her friends (along with a clean house). It was amazing to go
anywhere with mom, as it seemed like most people you saw were her friends. And she just
didn’t know the person she saw; she knew their whole family tree.

She was always interested in you, she genuinely cared about everyone she knew, and everyone knew that.
“Mom” “Grammy” “Jude” was our rock. She gave us love (sometimes/often tough when we
needed it,) kindness, endless conversation (and questions,) strong work ethic, humility, one
in a million smile and endless memories that will continue to make us laugh and cry.

Judy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Craig and Mary Anne White, grandchildren,
Kristen, Katherine, Kelly, son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Vicki White, grandchildren,
Kelsy, Carly, Conor, and son and daughter-in-law Keith and Kara White, grandchildren
Teagan, Tasha, Torin, and grandson Keaton Beers. She is also survived by her beloved
great-grandchildren: Carter, Ben, Nick, Connor, Hunter, Summer, Sam and another great-grandson
on the way. Sister and brother-in-law, Gracanne and Steve Engler, brother and sister-in law
Terry and Nancy Farrell and numerous nieces and nephews. Judy is also survived by her
special “second“ daughter Betty Jo Morris, dear friends Tom and Maria Landy and many
more friends who were part of her extended family.

Judy was predeceased by her loving daughter Corinne White-Beers, parents Patrick and
Inez (Crandall) Farrell, brothers Robert and Maury, and sister Patti.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Boyd Hehn, MD and Jodi in the
Guthrie Pulmonology Dept. and Guthrie Hospice for their exceptional, thoughtful care they
provided mom.
